Tumai Natural Spring Water is the first of the Funding Programs to get off the ground. Tumai Water is bottled at Grand Springs in Alton, Virginia and will be sold, initially, in the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Tumai Water is a high-end sodium-free spring water that is spreading in popularity within five states currently (June 2008) including: West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

15% of proceeds currently are used to fund sustainable development projects in impoverished areas of Sub-Sahara.

This award-winning water was named the best still bottled water at the 2008 Berkeley Springs Internation Water Tasting Festival and named the Best Spring Water on Earth in 2008 by Discovery Channel Canada.

Tumai Water, aside from sales to distributors, will also sponsor charity concerts with 100% of all proceeds being directed to the non-profit, Tumai.

AQUASAFE

The Aquasafe unit is solar-powered and is designed for use at the househeld level. The unit can pastuerize up to 50 litres per day, based on 8 hours of sunshine or partly cloudy weather

Aquasafe can improve public health:

• High yield - may produce up to 50 litres of pasteurised drinking water per day
• Uses surface water or unsafe tap water; can be used even with very turbid (unclear) water
• Uses no chemicals hence no risk of toxins (such as TTHM's) being produced during pasteurisation
• Easy-to-use thermal indicator ("WAPI") as a safeguard against unfinished pasteurisation
• Simple handling system prevents treated water from getting recontaminated before it is to be used
• Pasteurized water can be stored, unopened for more than 2 weeks

Does not require reading skills

• Fill a clear, plastic (PET) bottle with water (1, 1.5 or 2 ltr.). Leave a little air inside.
• Insert WAPI(temperature gauge)into bottle, wax up, ring down
• Insert the water bottle and leave it to heat up (around 1 hour)
• Check the WAPI (i.e. check if wax has melted and run down to ring)
• Extract the bottle when the pasteurisation temperature has been reached
• Use the water, hot or cooled
• Easy to use - does not require special knowledge
• No maintenance – just replace it when faulty

NutriMeal:

Currently we are teamed with an organization dedicated to producing healthy and economical food items. Our specific meals are designed to imitate local ethnic foods that lack the nutritional value needed for human survival. Our difference is that we infuse neccessary vitamins and minerals with the foods that locals are accustomed to eating.

NutriMeal is a soy-based, precooked meal consisting of soy, maize, sugar, vitamins, minerals, and salt. It is a valuable source of protein, vitamins, minerals, and can be mixed with milk, water, or yogurt to provide a meal for the whole day. In addition, a traditional African drink that consists of maize porridge, water, sugar and yeast, has been recreated and made into an instant powder that needs only to be mixed with water. It has been fortified with vitamins and minerals to meet nutritional needs. This development is monumental, considering that it is not only a drink already consumed on a regular basis, but is so quick and easy to use.

Instant Samp:

Instant Samp Samp is produced from dried corn kernels that have been stamped and chopped until broken. This corn meal is then prepared for a variety of meals, but typically takes nearly an hour to cook. Pre-cooked “Instant Samp” takes only 15 minutes to prepare, which reduces not only time, but also the amount of fuel needed to cook it, be it peat, wood, or electricity.
